two white horses

today i went down to jonkershoek while the light was crisp and the air was clean. on the way down i saw two white horses in a field and stopped to take some shots.
they were beautiful and strong there in the openness.
a lasting impression.
all they needed was a unicorn.

can't wait to develop the film

sinful

forgive me for i have sinned.
so much so that i cannot recall what it is that i did wrong.
forgive me for i have sinned.
for i have tested the water.
forgive me for i have sinned.
karma always makes its presence known.
forgive us for we have all sinned in judging another's sins to hide from our own.
forgive us for we have sinned by not seeing, eyes wide open.
forgive us for we have sinned.

edge

when we find the perfect water we will hang out just long enough to leave our clothes there.
but to find perfect is defeating, our clothes will be tentative and the rain will wash away what's left.

vastness

pour a little salt
we were never here

innit to winnit

when we're children we play games in the playground and we play them how we were taught to. as we start to grow up, we start to figure out tricks, develop strategies to cope in the game, but ultimately...to win. we start deceiving the others and some people become better than others. it's good and it's bad. however you take it, we grow up. our minds grow and become accustomed to being 'innit to winnit'. life thus begins in the fastlane before we have the chance to stop it.
