it's loud.

a quiet and beautiful secret, not so quietly persisting to pester my teeming brain.

maybe so

regretting the truth we did say
less than the lies we didn't.

nosta

provia 35mm
i may suffer from nostalgia.

tightrope

 where i ran to.

provia 35mm

hard space

i found the feeling of awe in the shape of these colossal rocks. the line, the shadow, the magnitude and the sheer archaeology of them.

some i took with my dad's old canon A1. i used provia 35mm film.

the light

she left a week to roam
your protector's coming home
keep your secrets with you
safe from the outside

they just caught the light...
the disappearing light of sunset at kommetjie.

a way away

some time spent in kommetjie.

 it was windy.
but something about the line of the horizon turning into the mountains made me burn with awe.

9.12.10

the mist came in

took my camera to the atlantic. the mist was lovely, a-normal and still, the sun beat through it.
these, by me.

blue

i got some pics printed today from a camera i'd never used and film that i thought was expired. ordinary kodac colour on an ordinary film camera. this is what came out. pretty ordinary. but blue and holidayish.

monamie.

there is something quite beautiful about being your most vulnerable. ghost tears, take it or leave it.
but most beautiful is the rawness of a response and the remanufacturing of a new idea.
of taking that vulnerability and turning it into something brave, different and soulful.
throw your inhibitions to the ghosts and show what you have. your pride is your only enemy.
